Welcome To The Little Learners Homepage |
|
|
In Little Learners we can use all the
school facilities including the large hall, which we use for P.E,
and assembly. We also
use the school library. We
attend school assemblies, Christmas plays and fund raising events.
Regular visits from the reception class
teacher and other staff enable a smooth transition from pre-school
to reception. We encourage all parents to play an
active part in their child’s pre-school education.
If parents would like to help in Little Learners, times can
be arranged with Lisa.
As well as helping there are many other
opportunities throughout the year to visit Little Learners,
Christmas plays, fund raising events, information afternoons, and
informal gatherings with the committee.
All parents receive a weekly parents page telling you details
of the topic and educational activities that will be taking place.
During the spring term parents are
invited to meet with us to discuss your child’s progress and Early
Learning Goal Assessments. For
the children going into reception in September another meeting will
be held in June/July with Lisa and Miss Morris, the reception
teacher. Outside we use all the grounds including
the playground, field, and forest area.
The school field and playground are
extensive areas where the children can play games and practice
physical skills. The
playground has a variety of games painted on to promote literacy and
numeracy skills. Furthermore we have a wide variety of equipment to
play with.
As the trees provide a lot of shade it
is an ideal area for outdoor play when it is hot and sunny. |
