|
General
Information
The school is housed in a 1969 building and has six classrooms, a hall, IT suite, library, administrative offices, purpose-built facilities for 'Little Learners' (early learning provision including pre-school), plus Breakfast, Holiday and After school clubs. Our outside facilities include a large playing field, nature area and early years outside play area. During the summer of 2007, an outdoor classroom was erected. A copy of the Callowell School prospectus is available on request. We welcome any parents wishing to visit our school. Please make an appointment so that the Head Teacher is free to talk to you and answer any questions you may have. It is school policy that no child will be discriminated against on ground of gender, race, creed or ability. School Admissions
If you wish for your child or children to attend Callowell School, please contact the school as soon as possible to request an admission form for completion. This form contains details of your name, address, emergency contact numbers, etc. Once we have these details, we are able to pass them to the Local Education Authority, who control admissions. Our standard number of entry to the Reception Year is thirty. Each year prior to your child entering school, a programme of events is planned so that as new parents, you feel part of your child’s school. The children visit the school for several sessions and we also have an open door policy with respect to Little Learners to ensure they have a happy and seamless start to school life.
