Wednesday 3rd March
Literacy - Arithmetic - Spelling Test - Geography - Art
Please just do what I have set each day. If you try and do anything else, you won't have had the instructions and will find it much more difficult.
We have five tasks today.
Literacy – Myths & Legends 8 - What make a legend?
Listen to me reading the second half of the Beowulf story. As you do, look out for evidence towards the Legends checklist.
In your learning pack you have a sheet to fill in to explain if the checklist items have been met by this story.
If you need a reminder, here is the story on it’s own.
Maths - Arithmetic
Today is our weekly arithmetic session. Your sheet has today’s date and 1a17 at the top and the first objective will be XVII.
Remember your child needs to do this on their own first. If you help them afterwards, please use a different colour. Dojos for equaling or beating your score from last time.
Listen to me reading the spellings for your group and send in a photo of your tests.
Geography - Russian Biomes
Today we are finding out about Russia and Biomes. Listen to me explain what you need to do.
Information about the Tundra
Information about the Taiga
Information about the Forest
Information about the Alpine/Mountains
Art - Seurat
Continuing our work on great European Artists, today we will be looking at the work of Seurat.
Although best known for pointillism, he did a lot of work with shade in his Conte Crayon work.
Use one of the images that our children took for the local area category of last summer’s photography competition. Don’t draw what you see in the picture, instead use shade. It’s not about detail, focus on the shapes.
** If you haven't done them yet, there is PE & Science to complete below**
PE - Mirror Movement
Watch the video to see what you need to do. If you haven’t got a partner to mirror, you could perform into a mirror or along to a piece of music. Send in your videos to earn your dojos.
Below is your Science for tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd March. We are starting a new area of learning: Materials and Properties.
I look forward to seeing how you get on.
