Term of Office 09.12.2024 - 08.12.2028 On my first tour of Callowell with Mr Roberts, we were greeted by polite, smiley children and a real sense of calm - and the view from the school is stunning! It's exciting to be part of this community and as Governor, play a role in the educational journeys of all the pupils here. I consider myself very lucky to have had over 20 years of teaching and leading experience in diverse primary settings in England, southern Africa and Southeast Asia - it's lovely to now have the opportunity to make a difference a little closer to home. Term of Office 01.09.24 In September 2024, I was delighted to be appointed the Principal of Callowell and to lead the school onto the next stage. I came to teaching later, having travelled and lived abroad. I did many varied and interesting jobs before settling on primary education as my chosen career. I have worked in education for 25 years and have taught and held different leadership positions in several very contrasting schools before taking on my current role. I strongly believe every community deserves a great primary school and that all the pupils in our care deserve a rich and exciting early Education. I am committed to supporting everyone at Callowell to be the best they can be and to support the school in being a great place for learning. I stay as involved in the classroom as I can and enjoy working with parents. I genuinely love the variety of my job and enjoy working with all the team here. Outside school I love to walk the hills with my dog or take to the water, Kayaking with my son. I’m a keen musician and enjoy getting outside whenever I can. No pecuniary interests declared.

Term of Office 20.10.2024 - 19.10.2028 My two sons are in their early years at Callowell and being a past pupil myself, having very much enjoyed my school years there, it's a great opportunity to take up the role as a Parent Governor to give something back to the school. I am a project manager with 15 years experience under my belt, having worked in financial services and the public sector. Term of Office 16.10.2024 - 15.10.2028 I am currently the Year 6 Teacher at Callowell, with responsibility for English, French and I am the DDSL. I have been teaching at Callowell since 2018 and have taught in Europe and Central America when I went travelling. I am keen to ensure the school is seen as a real asset and a vital part of the community as well as giving other governors a useful insight to what the daily challenges are in the classroom. I am passionate about reading and believe that it unlocks a whole world of opportunities for children. In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks with my Dachshund and I love photography.
