Governors

Welcome to Callowell Primary School

Callowell Primary School is a vibrant, happy community where children are at the heart of all we do.

The school has a dedicated, committed and caring staff, who work together in partnership with parents and families to promote a positive ethos. The school staff know children well and strive to ensure that children are inspired and enthused about their learning, as well as being well supported with their individual needs.

The Interim Executive Board (IEB) provides Governance for Callowell
and is proud to support the school as it becomes an established part of the Cotswold Beacon Academy Trust. We work closely with the Headteacher and other school leaders to develop and improve the quality of education for all Callowell’s children. The IEB is responsible for supporting and challenging the school to do the very best possible for all its pupils in every way.

I am excited by the possibilities there are for the school, its children and community. It’s my privilege to Chair this Board, and to be involved with Callowell Primary School at such an important point in its story.

My two sons are in their early years at Callowell and being a past pupil myself, having very much enjoyed my school years there, it's a great opportunity to take up the role as a Parent Governor to give something back to the school. I am a project manager with 15 years experience under my belt, having worked in financial services and the public sector. In my spare time I enjoy swimming and exploring the great outdoors with my family.

I am currently the Year 6 Teacher at Callowell, with responsibility for English, Assessment and I am the DDSL. I have been teaching at Callowell since 2018 and have taught in Europe and Central America when I went travelling. I am keen to ensure the school is seen as a real asset and a vital part of the community as well as giving other governors a useful insight to what the daily challenges are in the classroom. I am passionate about reading and believe that it unlocks a whole world of opportunities for children. In my free time, I enjoy going on long walks with my Dachshund and I love photography.
