Governors

Welcome to Callowell Primary School

Callowell Primary School is a vibrant, happy community where children are at the heart of all we do.

The school has a dedicated, committed and caring staff, who work together in partnership with parents and families to promote a positive ethos. The school staff know children well and strive to ensure that children are inspired and enthused about their learning, as well as being well supported with their individual needs.

The Interim Executive Board (IEB) provides Governance for Callowell
and is proud to support the school as it becomes an established part of the Cotswold Beacon Academy Trust. We work closely with the Headteacher and other school leaders to develop and improve the quality of education for all Callowell’s children. The IEB is responsible for supporting and challenging the school to do the very best possible for all its pupils in every way.

I am excited by the possibilities there are for the school, its children and community. It’s my privilege to Chair this Board, and to be involved with Callowell Primary School at such an important point in its story.

Principle

Term of Office 01.09.24

In September 2024, I was delighted to be appointed the Principal of Callowell and to lead the school onto the next stage.
I came to teaching later, having travelled and lived abroad. I did many varied and interesting jobs before settling on primary education as my chosen career. I have worked in education for 25 years and have taught and held different leadership positions in several very contrasting schools before taking on my current role.
I strongly believe every community deserves a great primary school and that all the pupils in our care deserve a rich and exciting early Education.
I am committed to supporting everyone at Callowell to be the best they can be and to support the school in being a great place for learning.
I stay as involved in the classroom as I can and enjoy working with parents. I genuinely love the variety of my job and enjoy working with all the team here.
Outside school I love to walk the hills with my dog or take to the water, Kayaking with my son. I’m a keen musician and enjoy getting outside whenever I can.
