During the first half of the Summer term our theme will be 'Africa'. In the second half of the Summer term our theme will be 'Castles and Knights'. We will be using a range of texts to explore both fiction and non-fiction writing genres, including some performance poetry. In Maths, we will be embedding our understanding of number by continuing to develop our counting, cardinality, ordinality, composition and subitsing skills. We will also be completing units on addition and subtraction, measure, fractions, geometry, and multiplication and division. For Science we will be completing a range of enquiries all about plants and also exploring the season summer. All of our learning will be enhanced with continuous provision which will also support us in developing our independent learning, this will include theme linked roleplay, small world and construction areas as well as a range of linked learning activities.
