We had a very exciting time celebrating British Science Week, 2024. We were very lucky to have two scientists visiting Callowell to inspire the children with a love of science. We got to participate in experiments with fire (making things explode), we learnt all about gravity (making toilet paper fly) and we were then wowed by chemical reactions, watching what happens when we mix mentos with coke.
Mrs Hulme organised a whole school biscuit dunking experiment to see which biscuit had the best dunkability! We acted as scientists, planning out our experiment and making predictions. Year 6 challenged themselves to generate their own independent enquiry questions.
